Curriculum Orientation Profile

Portfolio Notes:

The Curriculum Orientation Profile was a continuation on the theme of knowing ourselves, and equally as important, knowing what we don't know.  Engaging with the MBTI, the HRI, DIT, Adversity Quotient, and Curriculum Orientation Profile, each student was exposed to their personal attribute sets in addition to realizations and articulations of attributes NOT personally possessed - or perhaps not strengths.  This lens for understanding ourselves and others is paramount to growth and in developing our abilities to catalyze transformational events in a larger context.

This Activity invites you to check out some of your attitudes about what a currciulum should be about, or how it should operate. The profile instrument is oriented toward formal, school-based programs but since those are the "curricula" which have probably most shaped many of our ideas about curriculum this is a good place to start in recognizing some of our basic concepts and attitudes. After you have completed the instrument and arrived at a ranking of your orientations (part 2 of the Profile instructions), please post your results to the Discussion Forum entitled "Your Curriculum Orientations". This forum is open to all class members. Further instructions are provided in the Forum Description and also on the Orientation Profile document.
